A restaurant inside Merry Acres on Dawson Road is set to open near the end of January, according to Co-Owner Stewart Campbell. Campbell says the restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch, featuring old fashioned southern cooking similar to what was served during Merry Acres' hayday.
"The restaurant is just going be old school southern fair, meat and three, breakfast is going to be the same way: eggs, bacon, waffles," says Campbell.
Manor House Pub recently opened inside the Merry Acres hotel main lodge; the pub is strictly for hotel guests and City Club members from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Campbell and Bo Henry took over as owners of Merry Acres in June 2011.
