It was a fashion show for a good cause and provided some good laughs. Verge held its second fashion show this year, "Pink Parade," to help raise money for breast cancer research, and the event had a twist.
Men modeled bras decorated by members of the community.
"I actually didn't expect such a huge response. I had people call from all over the place wanting to build a bra, donate or some people just didn't have the time to do a bra so they just gave money for Susan G. Komen," says Verge Owner Jessica Blair.
The bras were later auctioned to help raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. A representative from Albany will take the money to the breast cancer walk in Atlanta and present the check from Albany.
Blair says the inspiration came from a similar large-scale event that is held in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she's from.
FOX 31 Good Day Anchor January Keaton served as emcee for the event. FOX 31's Romney Smith, Melanie Kendall and Sarah Bleau decorated bras to be auctioned.
