Men earning less money over time
Over the past few decades, men who work full time are seeing their income drop.
The median earnings for men who worked full-time, year-round peaked forty years ago at about $51,000 and have never been that high again, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau.
The latest year of data is 2012 and it shows the median earnings of men was about $49,000. In comparison, the median income for American women peaked in 2007 when women earned an average of $38,000. That number decreased for women between 2007 and 2012.
