Public and private health care professional joined together at Albany's Hilton Garden Inn for a 'Building Bridges' affair.
The conference was a gathering to share information and recommendation for immunizations.
Health care officials discussed strategies and plans for moving forward in getting Georgia's low ranking immunization rates back up.
"Immunizations was very high in Georgia. We ranked top five in the country about five years ago," said Dr. Anil Mangla, Georgia Infectious Disease Director, "They dropped to around 37th. We are now moving up again."
Dr. Mangla said parents should get their children vaccinated for preventable diseases.
