If you are currently receiving services through Meals on Wheels, don't worry your services are not about to end.

Earlier this week officials with the SOWEGA Council on Aging sent out letters to to all participants telling them that their services would end by November 14th because of the Government Shutdown, now that the Government is back open all services will continue.

Kay Hind, Executive Director with the Council on Aging says, "I'm so happy hundreds of people in our community aren't going to lose their services, this service means so much to so many people in Southwest Georgia."

Meals on Wheels has been around for over 50 years in the United States. If you would like to sign up contact to SOWEGA Council on Aging at 1(800)-282-6612.
