MCLB's Colonel Davis heads back to school

The head of the Marine Corps Logistics Base stepped out of his uniform and made a visit to Albany Technical College.

On Friday, Colonel Donald Davis met with Albany Tech's President and other officials to learn about to get a fell of all the programs and courses offered at the school.

FOX 31 caught up the Colonel Davis to ask him why he feels Albany tech is such a staple in the community.

Davis says, "it's important to the entire community, when you've got unemployment and you've got poverty a place like Albany tech, it takes an individual and gives them a skills that they can immediately be employed and I think that a great program."

Albany Technical College isn't the only school he's visiting.

He's visiting other local colleges trying to make partnerships with the base and the schools.
