The Maintenance Center at the Marine Corps Logistic Base was recognized as Albany's manufacturer of the year.
Albany Technical College officials presented the award at base Monday.
The Maintenance Center works to repair combat vehicles for soldiers overseas.
Officials say the recognition is nice, but the real payoff is in preparing our troops.
"Our mission is to make sure our war fighters have simply the best equipment available," said MCLB Maintenance Center Commander Col. Terry Reid. "So we don't look out for recognition everyday but every time you are recognized for doing a great job, especially by a third party, it's a great day here."
Financially the maintenance center generated over $350-million in revenue last year.
