The Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany held their first educational summit Wednesday night.
The purpose was for military parents to come and learn about schools in and around the area. Parents who live on MCLB have the choice to send their children to schools in Dougherty, Lee, and Worth counties.
Some of the private schools that attended were Byne Christian School, St. Teresa's, and Sherwood Christian Academy among others.
The principal of Worth County High says what sets his school apart is the low student to teacher ratio. The headmaster of Sherwood said what sets his school apart is the Christian education. St. Teresa's talked about the new technology their school received this past year. Byne also talked about new technology including tablets and e-books.
An MCLB official told FOX 31 she hopes this summit will become an annual event.
