Mayor Dorothy Hubbard signed a proclamation this morning declaring September 19th "No Texting And Driving Day."

Hubbard says this is a problem here and nationwide and it needs to be put to an end.

She feels strongly that if parents and grandparents are talking to their children and actively telling them to stop when they see them doing it then things will start to change.

Hubbard also said this is something she's going to get all city employees on board with; she says they need to be the role models for this community and they need to set the good example.
