      Man slams into vacant home

A Sylvester man slams his SUV into a vacant home.
A Sylvester man was taken into custody earlier this week after ramming his Ford SUV into a vacant home.

Worthit2u.net reports that 22-year-old Demarcus Jamal Wright crashed his car around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, slamming into a vacant home at the intersection of Franklin Street and Monroe Street.

Wright fled the scene, but was quickly found and arrested within a quarter-mile of the crash site. The SUV he was driving was reportedly stolen from his mother's home, and he was later tied to 11 small bags of marijuana.

Sylvester Police Sergeant, Kenneth Washington, says Wright has been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and added that other charges are still pending in this case.
