      Man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

      Officials with the Albany Police Department say 52-year-old William Frantz was seriously injured after a Ford Explorer pulled out in front of his motorcycle on Sylvester Road Wednesday evening / Colby Gallagher


      Officials with the Albany Police Department say 52-year-old William Frantz was seriously injured after a Ford Explorer pulled out in front of his motorcycle on Sylvester Road Wednesday evening.

      Officials say the SUV was driving west on Sylvester Road and tried to turn left onto Cordele Road when it cut in front of Frantz's motorcycle. Frantz was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where officials say he's in serious condition.

      Frantz was wearing a full face helmet during the accident and officials say charges are pending for the other driver.
