Vashon Olds has been sentenced for false imprisonment and battery charges for a 2009 crime according to Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards.

Dougherty County Police Officers arrested Olds after they say he tied the hands and feet of his 27-year-old roommate and family friend, then taped her mouth shut. They add that Olds forced the woman into the bedroom of a house they share and tried to remove her pants.

DCP Detective Calvin Cleveland said at the time that "he actually took the ties off of her at one point and she was able to get the duct tape off, and she began talking to him, trying to calm him down and try to ease the situation. That way she could get out of the house."

Edwards says that Olds has been sentenced to 10 years, with five of those to be served in a penitentiary.
