      Man flees police after traffic stop

      Investigators say they are looking for 32-year-old Troy Toomer who is wanted on possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction of an officer, and driving with a suspended license.
      Albany police need your help finding a man wanted on multiple charges who fled after a traffic stop on May 28th.Investigators say they are looking for 32-year-old Troy Toomer who is wanted on possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction of an officer, and driving with a suspended license.Officers say they attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and Radium Springs Road. Lights and sirens were initiated by the officer but the driver continued to travel east toward East Broad and Broadway Street. Once at Bonnyview Avenue, he jumped out of a red 2000 Ford Explorer (which was abandoned at the scene) and ran in between some duplexes located in the 600 block of Bonnyview Avenue. At that point, officers lost sight of the driver and he was unable to be located.Anyone who has information regarding this person they should call Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS or they can contact Criminal Investigations Bureau at 229-431-3288.
