Man charged with murder in Dollar General killing
Cohen Scott Mathews, 22, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection to the Dollar General killing.
Mathews was taken into custody for a parole violation Wednesday morning and was interviewed by detectives Wednesday afternoon.
Javis Walker, 31, died in an attempted armed robbery at the Dollar General on East Oglethorpe last Friday.
Mathews girlfriend, 22-year-old Lisa Marie Grigg, turned herself in on Tuesday. She is facing charges in Lee County for hindering the apprehension of a criminal, marijuana less than an ounce and possession of drug related objects.
Mathews has been taken to the Dougherty County Jail.
Police are still looking for one more person of interest, 32-year-old Heather Nicole Jeffcoat.
