Man arrested and linked to forgeries in many counties
A man has been arrested in Cook County and charged with several counts of forgery in the fourth degree and deposit account fraud in several Southwest Georgia counties.
36-year-old James William Goff was charged with 11 counts of forgery in July 2013 and has now been charged with two counts of deposit account fraud in Tift County.
The bank account holders had moved to a new address and ordered checks but they were shipped to their previous address. When they never arrived, the account holders contacted police.
In the past, Goff was also charged with forgery in Cook and Berrien counties.
