      Lowndes County traffic stop nets $2,000 in meth

      A traffic stop in Lowndes County has led to the recovery of methamphetamine worth $2,000 and a man behind bars facing multiple charges.

      Deputies say that around 5:30 p.m. Monday, they stopped a vehicle being driven by William Snelgrove on Lakes Boulevard.

      During a search of the vehicle, investigators say they found 20 grams of crystal meth, .3 grams of powder meth, digital scales, plastic bags and two handguns.

      Snelgrove is charged with giving a false name, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
