Lowndes County Sheriff's Office search for shooter

Officials with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office say that investigators signed an arrest warrant for Gerald Griffin and he was later stopped and arrested by deputies while driving on Highway 84 near James Road.
Investigators are continuing to work on this investigation and trying to establish a clear motive for this violent attack. Additional charges may be sought for Griffin and other persons who are believed to be involved.
Lowndes County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking a suspect involved in a shooting that occured Thursday afternoon in Valdosta.
Around 3:30 PM Lowndes County 911 received a call that a person had been shot at the Liquor Barn located in the 3900 block of North Valdosta Road.
Deputies and investigators found the victims at the Flash Foods in the 4200 block of North Valdosta Road.
One victim, Jermaine Demps, was shot, had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The other victims, Anthony Howell and Jacquil Sloan were unharmed and questioned.
The suspect is described as a black male, with shoulder-length hair and was driving a dark-colored SUV similar to a Chevrolet Suburban.
