Lottery win brews up $1 million for MillerCoors employees

The Georgia Lottery has announced that several employees at MillerCoors Brewery have won a $1 million dollar prize.

Eleven co-workers in the tech service department at the MillerCoors Brewery won the money after matching the first five winning numbers from the Powerball drawing held on June 9th.

Winners of the office pool include Clarence McNeal Jr. and Allen Chester Jr. of Dawson; Clarence Brown, Warren Lyles, Claude Strickland, Larry Gooden and Donald Talley of Albany; William Walker, Timothy Stafford, Dennis Starcher and Ernest Speir of Leesburg.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Claude Strickland said that "we've been playing for about five months and every time the jackpot gets up to $80 million, we get our pool going."

Strickland purchased the Quik Pik ticket at Thrift Food Mart, 2401 N. Briarwood in Albany.
