The Finance Committee of the Dougherty Board of Commissioners met Monday to review the fiscal year 2014-15 budget of the general fund.
During the meeting, County Administrator Richard Crowdis went over Local Option Sales Tax from 2007 to 2013. In those six years, the county has lost nearly one million dollars.
Committee Chairman Lamar Hudgins says this isn't something to be alarmed about, it's just the way the economy has been going for the past few years.
The committee is hopeful the new businesses in Albany and Dougherty County will turn this trend upwards.
