Library Director Pauline Abidde announced at Monday morning's commission meeting the Westtown Branch Library will re-open Monday February 24th at 2 p.m.

Abidde told FOX 31 the library will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. and on Saturday's from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a total of 16 hours a week.

Commissioner Gloria Gaines was one who worked very hard to re-open the doors of the library. She told FOX 31 what an important asset the library is to the community, education, and the economy. In these days and times Gaines says it's nearly impossible to find a job without having internet, and this provides that for those who can't afford it in their own homes.

Commissioners and Abidde aren't stopping at Westtown, though, they plan to open the Central Branch Library sometime this Summer and commissioners want to figure out a way to also re-open the Southside Library.
