Wild animals have taken over the hallways in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital's pediatric unit.
Installation has started on a new wildlife mural, which is expected to be completed within two weeks.
Phoebe officials say they saw a need to make the unit more kid friendly, so they began the process of trying to meet that goal.
In addition to the mural, there are also new sky lights painted with an aquatic theme. Children can lie on their backs are inspect the different types of animals on the ceiling.
The mural not only serves to lift the spirits of the children, it will also serve as a learning tool.
The renovation project, funded by donors through the Phoebe Foundation, was designed by Phoebe graphic designer Jenni Bode.
