The students at Lincoln Elementary Magnet School have a new "teaching garden" to learn in.

The garden was made possible by the American heart association, Phoebe Community Visions and the Dougherty County School System.

The new urban garden provides students with a place to learn about planting and eating fresh, healthy produce.

"They're (the students) just excited to be able to plant something that they'll be able to see later, in another couple months, grow and feel like they've been productive."

This is only the second American Heart Association Urban Garden in Georgia, the other one is in Atlanta.
