Life lost in morning accident

Albany police say that Brown has been charged with vehicular homicide, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, expired license, DUI refusal, DUI Less Safe, and seatbelt violation.
FIRST UPDATE (10:45 AM):
The Albany Police Department confirms that the driver of the Chevy Impala is 23-year-old Amber Marie Kelly Brown and was taken to Phoebe for treatment.
The passenger, 28-year-old Damian Antoine Johnson, was deceased at the scene.
The driver of the city street sweeper is 29-year-old Eldric Coleman.
Brown is a current student at ASU. Johnson was a former student. Both are from the Atlanta area.
Charges are pending at this time.
Officers were called to an accident at the Liberty Expressway and Clark off-ramp early Wednesday morning.
APD officials confirm that a Chevy Impala was traveling west on the Liberty Expressway headed towards Blaylock and hit the rear of a street sweeper.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the grass median and struck a guard rail where the car came to a rest.
Two passengers were in the vehicle, a male and a female. The male is deceased and the female sustained injuries.
The Albany Police Department Traffic Unit is on scene and will continue the investigation.
