Two are dead in Brooks County after a wreck at the intersection of Highways 133 and 122.
Officials with the Georgia State Patrol are saying that a Chrysler 300 came to a stop at the high-speed intersection, and failed to yield to a semi-truck heading straight for them.
Once the sedan sped forward, the driver of the semi slammed on his brakes but was unable to stop before plowing into the drivers side of the small vehicle.
The driver and passenger were killed instantly, with the driver of the semi-truck left uninjured in the wreck.
Life-flight was initially called in but wasn't needed after officials pronounced the two victims dead at the scene.
The crash happened at 5:25 PM Friday night, with the intersection reopened nearly three hours later.
