The Dougherty County Library Board met Tuesday to discuss next year's budget.
The proposed budget for FY 2013-2014 is just shy of 2.2 million dollars which $85,000 dollars more than this year's.
The jump was caused by an increase to health insurance cost, more money needed to pay for technical and professional fees, as well as additional security needed at Tallulah Massey.
"We've had some rough incidences out there and we hope the police make it a safer environment for our patrons to enjoy,"Mike Dugan the Interim Library Director.
The library is projecting $350,000 dollars in revenue next year and the remaining fund would need to come from the county.
