The Dougherty County Library Board is working on the final steps to get the Central Downtown Library reopened, but furnishing that building is a growing concern.
The board met with their architect this evening to hear the best and most cost effective ways of purchasing furniture.
Chairman Walter Kelley says keeping under budget, and buying quality products are why this debate continues to happen.
"We want to tell our friends and everybody in dougherty county that we were good stewards of their money. That we got as good as we could get, we payed the best price we could find, and that that library will be open in 2014," said Kelley.
Kelley says although nothing was decided on tonight, they did make headway in this conversation and that in itself makes the meeting worthwhile.
