Lending a hand to help local rivers
It's Water Stewardship Day for MillerCoors and the Flint Riverkeeper.
Volunteers from both organizations are out on the river all day picking up trash and just helping clean up.
Officials with MillerCoors say not only does this help the community but from a business standpoint, they need clean water to be successful.
Gordon Rogers, the Flint Riverkeeper, says his message to those littering is they need to take personal responsibility and throw their trash away properly.
Rogers says in years past they've picked up a large amount of picnic trash, alcoholic beverage bottles, and even dirty diapers.
