Luke Bryan is the honorary chairman of National Hunting and Fishing Day. And it's something he feels proud to be a part of.
Bryan says he hopes to bring awareness to what hunters and anglers do for conservation and to get young people more involved in the outdoors. Bryan grew up in Leesburg, Ga., and would go hunting and fishing with his dad two or three times a week. He says he doesn't remember learning how to hunt and fish, just like he doesn't remember learning how to talk. Bryan calls it "just a natural thing" in his family" and part of their lifestyle.
Other country artists who have served as chairmen include Hank Williams Junior, Travis Tritt, Tracy Byrd and Jeff Foxworthy.
