The Lee County Budget Committee held their first budget meeting of 2013 Wednesday morning. They discussed the budget, and the budget process for the 2013-2014 year.
The morning meeting was the first step in the budget process, so no specific numbers or line items were mentioned but they did talk about some of the things they would like to see happen in the next year.
Rick Muggridge, a member of the Lee County Board of Commissioners, said last year the board saw a little bit of growth, which is something they haven't seen in several years, and they hope this growth will continue through 2013.
The commissioners also mentioned something they really encourage is departmental involvement and community involvement. They said in order to be successful, everyone needs to work together.
