The Lee County School System's 2014-2015 preliminary budget is on the right track.

On Monday, the school board discussed their preliminary budget for the upcoming school year.

Earlier this school year the school system got rid of furlough days and now their general fund budget is anticipated to be about $45 million.

Lee County School Superintendent Dr. Lawrence Walters says this is new for the system.

"This will be the first time in six years we'll have a full school year for our students and of course a full school year for our teachers also, so we're really happy with that."

The anticipated revenue and expenses will go in effect July 1st.
