      Lee county raising taxes?

Lee County manager Ron Rabun proposed a .65 mileage increase for taxes to bring in an additional $500,000 in revenue this year at the Annual budget meeting Friday afternoon.
For the first time in eight years, Lee County may have their taxes raised. Lee County manager Ron Rabun proposed a .65 mileage increase for taxes to bring in an additional $500,000 in revenue this year at the Annual budget meeting Friday afternoon. Rabun says it's definitely needed but other than the $700,000 increase suggested for the 2014-2015 budget the $22.7 million dollar budget is $700,000 more than last year. He said, For the cost of equipment up and running and level of services there TMs no big increases in this budget or expenditures no grand plan. The budget had it TMs first steps of approval and the city manager would also like to remind people that early voting in Lee County starts tomorrow.
