      Lee County man fires shots at ex-wife

      After firing the shots at his ex-wife, officials say Paul Knight ran into the woods.


      A Lee County man is charged with aggravated assault family violence after he fired multiple shots at his ex-wife during an argument on Monday.

      Officials say Paul Knight was arguing with his ex-wife about their daughter TMs car being broken down when he fired a gun at her. Knight TMs ex-wife wasn TMt hit and no one was injured during the incident.

      Knight is currently in the Lee County Jail awaiting his first appearance in front of a judge to set his bail, which officials say is expected to happen Wednesday afternoon.

      ORIGINAL STORY:Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Lee County police were called to 836 Middle Road in reference to shots fired .

      When they arrived they learned that Paul Knight fired shots at his ex-wife. After firing the shots officials say he ran into the woods. Knight TMs brother was able to call him and convince him to surrender to police.

      Knight TMs ex-wife wasn TMt hurt during the incident.
