Officials with the Lee County Jail say their facility is almost to full capacity.

At this time, the jail is occupied with 104 inmates, which is just eight inmates shy of becoming full.

Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals says, "the reason why we see so many people come through our doors is drugs. People are stealing from local residents, selling the stolen property then using that money to buy drugs."

Sheriff Rachals adds that during the summer months is when the jail normally hits its maximum.
