Lee County officials met Tuesday to discuss their geographical information system, more commonly known as GIS.
This system helps the county with every aspect of their jobs from utilities, to roadwork, to tax assessment.
The county manager, Ron Rabun, says he hopes this assessment will signify the end of phase one, "We should be almost completed with phase one and phase two is beyond that but we first want to see what deliverables we have and how far we've come with phase one which is beginning the base work."
Rabun says this system is at minimal cost to the county but when all is said and done will cost around $60,000.
