Lee County aiming to lower health insurance rates
The Lee County Personnel Board met Friday to review health insurance costs and ways to meet the ever growing increases.
Officials say with the health costs continuing to grow they are looking at ways to address those things with as little impact as possible for their county employees.
Board Chairman Rick Muggridge says, "what kind of impact increasing deductibles will have, what kind of impacts increasing the number of rate tiers that our employees share end, just looking at some different factors that go into the over all costs that go into a plan."
No word on when the final decision will be made, but the next personnel meeting will be Tuesday November 12th at 6:00 p.m.
