If you are looking for networking opportunities and the ability to get to know the Lee County community better, here is your chance.
The Lee County Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for their 2012 Leadership Lee Program. From Feb. 16 through March 22, participants learn about agriculture, industry and government in the area. One class even includes a visit to the Lee County Jail.
The chamber says it provides citizens an inside look at the economic strengths, community infrastructure and issues confronting Lee County.
"It's a great networking opportunity also getting to know the community better and heighten the knowledge of the community and what we have to offer," says Lesley Barbosa, Director of Operations at the Lee County Chamber of Commerce.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 9. The program costs $275, which includes classes and lunch. Call the Lee County Chamber of Commerce at (229) 759-2422 or email Barbosa at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
