Lee County High School's Principal, Kevin Dowling has been nominated for a state award.
Dowling is one of three people to qualify as the Georgia Association of Secondary School High School 'Principal of the Year'. Faculty and staff at the school got him a huge trophy to celebrate the accomplishment, but Dowling says he can't take all the credit. "It's truly humbling and it's truly and honor, but it's really about Lee County High School. It's not all about me, it's about our school and I'm very proud of what our school has been able to do and what our students and teachers have been able to accomplish" says Dowling.
Dowling will travel to Athens on Saturday February 4, 2012 to interview with the selection committee.
