Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Fine Arts is wrapping up "National Music in our Schools Month" with a two day celebration.

Thursday and Friday, bands and choruses from around the area will be traveling to elementary school to perform for the students.

While at the school, they'll also talk to third, fourth and fifth graders about some of the fine arts programs available to them in middle school.

"We really want to have those arts elementary schools students to come on over to our school to continue and streamline the arts education," said Janel Timberlake, the Radium Springs Middle School Chorus Director.

Organizers say it's a nice way to head into spring break and help the students prepare for the CRCT exams.
