A man accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend with a pipe and throwing lighter fluid on her children has been indicted on multiple charges.
Devone Williams was indicted Wednesday on five counts of aggravated assault, three counts of false imprisonment, two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree, aggravated battery family violence and hindering an emergency phone call.
There are additional charges included in the indictment.
Police say the incident happened back in February when Williams burned food on the stove after falling asleep.
The suspect ended up beating his girlfriend with a metal pipe. Williams allegedly went on to strike the woman with his fist and kick her with his feet.
The victim was six months pregnant at the time.
After attacking the mother, the suspect sprayed her and her children with lighter fluid.
