The Salvation Army teamed up with Target Thursday morning to provide ten children an opportunity they wouldn't normally have.

Each child had $81 to spend on school supplies and clothes so they'll be ready to go for the first day of school.

Major Kelly English with the Salvation Army said he feels these kids will do better in school if on the first day they feel prepared and they don't have anything to worry about.

English also said school supplies are expensive and it's important to help out any way they can.
