Keeping roadways safe during football season
High school football is officially underway across Southwest Georgia.
Through December, traffic will increase on Friday nights as students and families head to and from the games.
The Crisp County Sheriff's Office is planning on adding on a few extra deputies to each shift.
Crisp County Sgt. Ben Sumner tells FOX 31 that "when the roadways get busy, we just do everything we can to keep the roads safe, to keep people slowed down so that they arrive safely at their destination."
