The Positive Direction Youth Center, held its second annual "Just in Time for Christmas Giveaway" Saturday morning.
Children were given a toy and a clothing item as a Christmas gift.
Dorothy Tomlin, from Positive Direction, said they want to, "make sure every child has something for Christmas."
With the help of Piggly Wiggly, people were able to donate $5 to provide a family with a bag of grocery, to take home.
The people who attended Saturday's event appreciate the help, and say they were actually having fun.
"We're having a nice time today, they got plenty of toys, so if anyone out there doesn't have toys for their kids, they should come on down," said Patrica Johnson.
Positive Direction partnered with Open Arms of Albany, to make this give away possible. They had representatives from there Street outreach program on hand to inform the public about services they provide for homeless and runaway children.
"(We provide) resources for housing assistance, jobs, anything like that, and donations we provide to them as well," said Asia Hawkins, the Street Outreach Director.
Open Arms, also provides mentoring to help children get off the streets and on the right track.
