      Jimmie's Hot Dogs robbed

      Shortly before 5 p.m. a man walked into Jimmie's Hot Dogs, ordered hot dogs, but wasn't able to pay for it. / File

      UPDATE:

      The suspect, 44-year-old Dwayne Kenneth McNair was charged with robbery by snatching. He's now in the Dougherty County Jail.

      ORIGINAL STORY:

      Shortly before 5 p.m. a man walked into Jimmie's Hot Dogs, ordered hot dogs, but wasn't able to pay for it. According to police he told the cashier he would wait for someone to bring him the cash. When the cashier opened the drawer to ring up another customer, the suspect jumped the counter, grabbed cash from the register, and ran away.

      ADDU agent George Camp Sr. was able to chase him and get him into custody at the corner of Jefferson and Whitney. The suspect is described as a 40-something black male wearing a plaid shirt and jeans.

      The suspect is being interviewed by detectives at this time.
