      Jackknifed on the Liberty Expressway

      Around 11:30 Thursday evening, the Albany Police Department responded to an accident on the Liberty Expressway.

      According to officials, a tractor trailer was traveling south on the Liberty Expressway and as it approached a car, the truck driver pressed on the brakes and they locked up.

      The driver lost control and the semi-truck crossed the median, traveled across northbound traffic and jackknifed into the shoulder of the expressway.

      Quality wreckers were brought in to remove the semi-truck.

      The driver Willie Critten and is from Jacksonville, Florida and walked away from the accident with no injuries. Critten is being charged with Failure to Manitain Lane.
