'It's a Wrap' offers support for cancer patients
'It's a Wrap' means the beginning â" not the end â" of something big at Phoebe Putney Hospital.
Staff and patients of the Phoebe Cancer Center celebrated the grand opening of 'It's a Wrap,' which provides hats, scarves, and other headwear for cancer and hair loss patients.
Patients say that undergoing cancer treatment is often a brutal process and the services provided by 'It's a Wrap' provide much-needed encouragement.
"When you look good, you feel good and you act good, said Cancer Center patient Tina Phipps. "I think as long as you're moving and you're making yourself look well, then I think it does a lot for your spirit."
'It's a Wrap' was previously located in the New Foundations complex but was moved in order to be more convenient for patients.
