In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know whether or my it's illegal in Georgia to flash your lights at another car to alert them of a police officer's presence.
Dougherty County Police Department Captain Tommy Jackson says flashing your high beams isn't illegal for that purpose but it could get you pulled over if an officer thinks you have a problem with your lights.
Jackson says there is a ticket issued for a mechanical light error that someone can receive if their lights aren't working correctly.
Jackson adds when a person flashes their lights to tell another car to slow down, it only helps the police force reach their goal of controlling speeding.
Jackson also says for him it doesn't matter how the goal is reached as long as reckless or speeding drivers are controlled.
