After an EF1 touched down in Irwin County Monday, the road to recovery and cleanup has begun.
Irwin County Emergency Management Agency Director Jerry Edwards said that after the EF1 tornado touched in the southeast part of the county that they are recovering nicely.
There were a lot of trees and debris, but no injuries according to Edwards, with four houses and a church receiving some damage.
Edwards says that luckily the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been, with a lot of the damage occurring on Poppy Street.
Officials say they are now taking pictures and helping to clean up debris left in the storm's wake.
