      Investigators seeking suspects that led police on high speed chase

      The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is on the hunt for two black males who led state troopers on a high speed chase in Valdosta.

      Steve Turner with the GBI confirms FOX31, around 3:30 a.m. Monday a Georgia State Patrol officer was traveling on U.S. 41 when the trooper clocked a car speeding.

      When the trooper tried to pull the car over they sped off starting the chase.

      The officer was finally able to get the car to pull over near S. Fry & Way Street.

      When the officer got out to approach car, the car turned around and officials believe the driver tried to run the trooper over.

      At that time the trooper began shooting at the car.

      The car got away, and was later found abandoned.

      The officer was not hurt.
