Investigation opened on Worth County Student for misconduct
The Worth County Sheriff's Office and Worth County School System have begun an investigation after a 5-year-old student reported that another student touched him inappropriately while riding the bus.
The victim's mother says she wants other parents to know what happened and is not happy with the punishment the 9-year-old offender received.
FOX 31 reached out to worth county superintendent Dr. Barbara Thomas who responded with the following statement:
"An incident of inappropriate student behavior was reported. Worth county schools immediately conducted investigation and appropriate discipline measures have been taken."
Worth County School System attorney Clarence Miller says they can't confirm what that punishment is because it could identify the student whose personnel file is confidential.
