      Investigation begins into suspected dog fighting in Albany

      Albany police are investigating after an Animal Control officer made a follow-up call to a duplex in the 800 block of West Lincoln Avenue discovered an injured pit-bull behind the residence Thursday morning around 11.Officers say that further investigation yielded evidence of suspected dog fighting and two uninjured pit-bull puppies.The injured pit-bull was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment while the puppies were taken to the Albany Human Society.Two individuals residing at the location were transported to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning only according to the Albany Police Department.
